Or Lovely?
Oh, let's bring back loveliness. I think it is a duty to our world.
ReplyDeleteIt is discouraging sometimes to get dressed to go out for dinner or church -- or even the grocery store -- and see how casually and sloppily people dress. Especially unflattering is when women my age (in their 50s) dress for comfort only.
There is a reason the good Lord gave us proper underpinnings and lovely dresses! to beautify and dignify our small part of the world ;)
Thank you Searcy for another simple but profound post.
I agree completely with Deborah. I will often wear what I consider the bare minimum of appropriate apparel when running casual or quick errands and am constantly amazed to see that I am far more "dressed" than most other women I encounter. I simply do not understand it. Comfort seems to be the byword, rather than appearance. To me, it has always been a matter of courtesy and respect for others to have as neat, modest and appropriate an appearance as possible. I fear I am ranting here. Let me stop and just say: how lovely that dress is in your photograph, Searcy.
ReplyDeleteLovely, please. Yes, certainly lovely.
ReplyDeleteLovely, please! I have to know where this image is from.
